Philosophy

"In 1895 the Lummiere brothers held the first public viewing of a moving picture in a theater in Paris.

The conclusion of the several minute piece was a scene of a train pulling into a station.

The French audience had never experienced something so realistic on that scale. Most of the audience became scared and ran out of the theater or wet themselves. This experience was so new and different, their animal instincts took over their civilized thinking. Plus they were French.

Though it is quite a tall order, I aim to create a web experience that follows in the footsteps of that moment in cinema history. It may take my entire life, but someday, somewhere, someone will wet their pants looking at an Age Owns made website."

Contrary to the bulk of what the web design industy is producing, form and function can coexist successfully. There seems to be preconceived notions as to how a website should look and act. I believe nothing on the Internet should be preconceived.

Look at my examples and previous work, and talk to me about how I can give you a commanding presence on the web.

True, my design style may not be for just anybody. But you don't want a designer that could please just anybody.

"I'm the website the other sites link to."
